I finally took a shot with this company last week with a couple of buddies, just to see if it's worth the time. The boat docks in Lynn, just north of Boston.
Overall, it's a pretty depressing environment; it really shows its age, the food is lousy, and the clientele is really the bottom of the barrel. There's a $30 'admission' fee, and it takes at least an hour to cruise into federal waters, where the games start. So it's actually no more convenient timewise than any of the CT casinos. You're either driving for an hour+, or sitting on a boat for an hour+.
As for the game, fairly typical 6D S17, no surrender, poor to mediocre penetration. This was a weeknight, and two BJ tables were open, one was $15-$200, the other $25-$500 limits. 1-2 other tables were closed. No real heat, but the game was lousy anyhow. They had a bunch of old slots, a few random table games, and sports betting.
More importantly, though, the cards were not displayed openly prior to play, and shuffling was done by another staff person at an empty table. We have no proof, but I find it quite possible that the deck was short. I had several shoes of unusually high counts that went nowhere - and not a single shoe that went negative. Obviously this could be simple variance, but odds are that it's not.
These types of cruises are (I believe) entirely unregulated, so this, combined with the unusual shuffling practice, and no access to the cards (I should have demanded to see them before and after play), I'd caution everyone about playing there.
Besides, CT is the same 'time' away from play, it's a heck of a lot nicer, and you can trust the games. You can also arrive/leave whenever you want.
So, hopefully my advice was worth the few $$ I lost there. Live and learn.
